RECIPE: The Ultimate Post Holiday Turkey (or Ham!) Sandwich
Image via WikipediaWhole Grain Sunflower Seed BreadSmart Balance Margarine
Smart Balance Mayo
Habanero Jelly
Jalapeno Dip
Onions Sliced Thin
Tomato Sliced Thin
Avacado (cut in half and then scooped out with a spoon)
Turkey or Ham (leftovers sliced thick!)
Fresh Spinach (lettuce) or Alfalfa Sprouts
Pepper Jack Cheese Sliced Thin
Spread the Non-Transfat margarine on both pieces of bread (to prevent sogginess). On just one side spread the mayo and about a teaspoon of jelly. On the other side, spread the (Meadow Gold) Jalapeno Dip. On this same side, scoop and place the avacado pieces and then the onion slices.
On the other piece of bread lay down the cheese and then the tomato. Cut the turkey or ham into thick pieces and lay over this. Lastly, add your lettuce on top of all this.
Now lift both sides of the sandwich at the same time and slap together quickly. Lay the sandwich down and press slightly to hold it all together.
Cut into four small squares and enjoy!

I'm going to go ahead and call her my new favorite Standup Comedian.Right now I'm watching "Lisa Lampanelli: Dirty Girl: No Protection" (on Netflix Instant Play). It's my favorite show (of hers) so far and not to be missed.
Her type of comedy is rare. Some of you may be old enough to remember Don Rickles. I grew up in Las Vegas, so I was very familiar with his "act". Didn't get it at first. But I think Lisa has perfected it. You'll laugh out loud. I promise. Nothing is off-limits.

Best HORROR Movies: HOUSE, 1986 Comedy Humor

This movie is so FUNNY (AND even scary at times!), I laughed so hard. Haven't had so much fun since "Poltergeist".
The token HOT GIRL reminds me of Bo Derek in "10". Ahh, the 80's... Definitely had a swim suit like that. But I'm sure I didn't look quite the same in it.
The flashbacks to Vietnam are a bit odd. But, whatever. If you like this genre, you'll have a great time.
I know. I know. THIS IS HOW I'M SPENDING MY XMAS EVE. ; )
P.S. George Wendt (of Cheers) adds to the fun. And if you've never seen "Night Court" (a TV series) with Richard Mull (also in this movie), check it out. It was awesome humor in its time.

TOP 10 Documentary Film Reviews: Wild China (a mini series) THE BEAUTY OF CHINA

Image via WikipediaSo... Netflix kept recommending this film (saying that I would LOVE it) and I kept ignoring it... until today.Now WOW, OMG, (all the expletives you can think of!)... it is by far one of the most amazing cinematically beautiful films I have ever seen.
And, oh yeah. It's educational.
For the first time in my life, I WANT - NEED (!) to visit China... the beauty, the grandeur, the landscape... the people.

Horror Movie Reviews: "The Descent: Part 2"
Image via WikipediaWell... I cannot see Part 1 because of Netflix's new asinine rules. But I'm really enjoying Part 2 of "The Descent". Very Aussie (I think). Perhaps that's why the girls are all so gorgeous.It's way more claustrophobic than "Buried" (alive) with (my new favorite actor, Ryan Reynolds. He can do anything!).
Personally, I don't know why anyone would crawl down into a dark hole in the ground... esp. for fun. Ugh. My worst nightmare.
Then add a few man-eating humanoid creatures and you have this film. A bit gory. A bit scary. But... all in all (since I would never be that stupid in the first place), I'm not impressed.
If you like dark, tight places with moments of abject terror, go for it. Otherwise, the monsters are not that creative and it is "bloody hell!"
The CLASSIC CREATURE FEATURE "Bugged"

I thought perhaps a 70's B-Film and here's why.One of the things I found most amusing about this film is the reverse-racism. Not your typical Hollywood tinsel as (almost) everyone is black... except for a "token" white person here and, rarely, there.
Makes you aware just how racist Hollywood really is.
But this is my favorite kind of film.
The first time you see the created
monster, you will laugh your arse off.
Only disappointment, really, is that there is a scene that is a transparent (but humorous) knock-off of the original "FLY" movie. At least it doesn't take itself too seriously.
Favorite Line: "Over to the left, dear."

Movie Review: "Tetsuo: The Bullet Man"
Image via WikipediaI've never considered myself big on "Artsy" films, but wow. This film begins in black and white with minor colorations here and there. Just gorgeous... and this definitely adds to the intensity from the opening scene.Definition: Tetsuo - Iron Man; Fast like a Ninja.
No subtitles (thank goodness) but definitely foreign in nature. Asian. Apparently this is the third in the series, but new to me.
The graphics? I loved 'em. Reminded me of 80's Pop Video. Not something you would expect in a film. Creative and entertaining.
The plot? Mind-bending.
Been looking to find the nationality of Eric Bossick (the star of this film) but had no luck. As some of you well know, I have this thing for (especially 1/2 Asian and 1/2 American men). Eric looks to fit the bill but I can't confirm it. Let me know what you find out.
It all started with my month in Japan (to study Karate), at seventeen, when I became enamored of the 1/2 and 1/2 actor Masao Kusakari (he was in a Japanese version of the TV series Starsky and Hutch).
ANYWAY, this film is a fricken carnival coaster ride. Are they still showing that film in 7th grade about the hallucinogenic powers of marijuana (the "portal drug")? It reminded me of that.

HOTTIE of the Day goes to Paul Walker of The Lazarus Project

The Lazarus Project (Image via RottenTomatoes.com)This movie, The Lazarus Project, is slow moving but mysterious. Even though it seems to just drag on and on... you simply must know what comes next.Favorite Line:
"Sometimes I think the only real medicine is to accept our lives as they are."
Favorite Idea:
A dog named "Dog". But that rings a bell. Do you know of another movie that used that idea?
Then, of course, Paul Walker's (Fast and Furious) easy-going sexy style doesn't hurt. Mmm. Among other things is that sensual soft-spoken voice and, of course, a woman is always turned on by the HOT yet DEVOTED family man. In this pic, he fits the bill.
Plus, we have Piper Perabo (who names their kid Piper?!). But OOOweeee! She is somethin'. For some reason, these two make me want to break back into my southern sweaty-hot-summer-day drawl (I lived in Georgia for four years). She has that sexy-but-demure essence that a woman (great actress or not!) just cannot manufacture out of thin air. She's the real thing.
AND as far as endings go... the ending to this movie is pure genius. Probably my favorite ever.
