How to Lose Weight Fast! Healthy Diet Review "Fat Sick & Nearly Dead"

I really enjoyed this documentary. Aussie, Joe Cross, is down to earth, humble, and endearing. But what I liked best was its inspirational quality and the fact that doctor's checkups and approval were absolutely imperative to the program. Plus, the nutritional analysis.

Since watching this film, I haven't done the full fast. But I have replaced one meal per day with a vegetable juice. I used V8 (the 12 oz. can) as our juicer is on the fritz. But I have lost 5.5 lbs. in just two weeks, which was very exciting for me as menopause has been quite a challenge.

With my slower menopausal metabolism, nothing seemed to work the way it used to. I exercise regularly (hard) and stay away from sugar and white carbs (quitting refined sugar cured me of Graves Disease). So there's no cookies, cake, candy, white rice, white bread, or soda pop in my diet. I used to replace these foods with the lower sugar or sugar free options (see my book: The Sugar Addict's Diet by S.J. Wise). But I don't even crave sweets anymore. Not even chocolate!

Still, with menopause, I gained 30 stubborn pounds. I even doubled my weekly exercise hours from 4 to 8 (adding an hour of slower fat-burning exercises to each session) and I lost inches but no weight. In fact, I gained! I didn't start losing the weight until the meal substitution.

But don't take my word for it. Watch this film. It could be the answer you've been looking for.

Available now on Netflix Instant Play.

http://jonathanturley.org/2011/07/06/ohio-family-values-politician-arrested-full-of-alcohol-and-viagra-in-car-with-stripper/

This is a mug shot of a man. At the time of his arrest, he was found to
have:

1) DUI while driving a car not belonging to him,
2) a blood alcohol level of .097,
3) a stripper in the car, and
4) a moderate amount of viagra in his blood:

Question: would you guess this man to be:
1) A traveling salesman with a gambling problem;
2) A viagra representative who stopped to try out his product;
3) A member of an organized crime syndicate;
4) A longshoreman tying on a bender; or
5) A conservative Republican family-values State Representative from Ohio?

Suggested Movie Marathons / Movie Marathon Ideas

Angelina Jolie at the premiere of Alexander in...Image via Wikipedia
Angelina Jolie
1. The Alien series

2. The Predator series

3. The original Star Trek series
(Season One, Ep.10 is my favorite... It was your Evil Twin, you dumb arse! There's two of you, DUH!... and the horned-dog - I WANT ONE! And the scratches move from the left side of the face to the right?) LOL.

It was actually more sophisticated than I expected for 1966. Lot's o fun to be had. The whole Evil Twin idea probably spawned a generation of Soap Opera copy-cats. In fact, right at this moment, Erica on All My Children has an Evil Twin, Jane. Another chuckle.

And Season 1, Ep. 8: A PENIS in his hands! Do they even know what they do?! And the phallic stalagmites, oh my. LOL

ANYWAY...
4. The original Twilight Zone series

5. Clint Eastwood movies

6. The Star Wars series (old and new)

7.  007 Movies: "Bond. James Bond."

8. The Outer Limits series

9. Kevin Bacon movies

10. Matt Damon movies

11. Angelina Jolie movies

12. Adam Sandler movies

13. Harry Potter movies

14. StarGate series

15. Halloween series

16. Zombie movie marathon

17. Vampire movie marathon

18. Martial Arts Movies... Jet Li, Bruce Lee

19. Musashi Miyamoto

Octopus vs Shark! WHO WINS?! Real Live VIDEO

Real life! Octopus vs. Shark. Who wins?!

While watching the CREATURE FEATURE "Octopus", I wondered, 'Do octopus really have teeth? Turns out they do:
http://www.wonderquest.com/octopus-teeth-eyes.htm

The largest one found, on record, was over 600 lbs. with an arm-span (tentacle span?) of over 30 feet. Makes the movie a little more believable, huh. My search also turned up this awesome video clip (above).

The movie "Octopus" was actually better than I expected. Better than B. It might take itself a little too seriously at times (It could use a little more CREATURE and a little less FEATURE), but it does have a Denzel Washington look-a-like (Mr. Brickman) and a cute little marine biologist (as usual for this genre).

Is it just my imagination, or did she really start with a Russian accent and then switch to American? Anyway, if you like this genre, I think you'll enjoy. They saved the best for last... with the cruise liner. At least hang in for that. It's fun.

And don't miss the "octopus ballet" below.  It's really cool.

Copy Cat Movies: Lethal Dose & The Warriors of Terra Sci-Fi Horror Movie Reviews

Category:Zombies and revenants in fictionImage via Wikipedia
Don't let the title fool you. I thought that The Warriors of Terra (2005) was an awesome Sci-Fi Horror flick. It really was scary.

Then I discovered the Brit version (Lethal Dose). Of course, in my American arrogance, I assumed that it was a British knock-off. But, alas, it was the American version that was the knock-off as the Brit version was made in 2003. Hmm.

Anyway, they're remarkably similar and yet so very different at the same time. I have to admit, I liked the American one better. The special effects, the more realistic theme, et.al.  I think it was just better.

What do you think?

Can you think of any other fun Copy Cat duos to watch?

Warriors of Terra Clip (I liked a couple of other Trailers better on Youtube but they had been "disabled". Search for yourself on YouTube to see them.)

And a Behind the Scenes look at "Lethal Dose" with the (Keanu Reeves look-a-like) Tom Hardy:
