Best (Cerebral) Horror Movies / Movie Review: Absentia, 2011

Absentia
2011, Rated R, 1hr 31m
Rated: 5 out of 5 Stars (Highly Recommended)

Netflix Description:
Seven years after her husband, Daniel, went missing, Tricia is about to have him declared dead. But as she copes with her grief and the reappearance of her annoying sister, Tricia begins to suspect a sinister force is behind Daniel's disappearance.

My Review:
WOW! Way better than expected. I'm not exactly sure what it was (the rhythm, the story-line, the NORMAL-sized characters) but this movie really MOVED ME! Literally!! There was one scene (Oh, so RARE - where I actually SCREAMED OUT LOUD and jumped out of my seat)... My hubby came running. "What's wrong?!" Oh, just the BEST little understated Horror Movie I've seen in a while. Then I laughed at the awesomeness of the adrenaline rush. Yup. I just loved it. Very indie AND very GOOD. Highly recommended if you can handle the subtle cerebral pace. I'd been putting this one off... DON'T!

Abraham-Hicks Quote for the Day

Sign up for this INSPIRING NEWSLETTER!

Your joy factor will remain constant as you are continually refining your ideas of what you want, and that's why it is so important for you to get everybody else out of the equation. They've got their own game going on; they don't understand your game. Give them a break; stop asking them what they think. Start paying attention to how you feel. Joy will be yours immediately, and everything else that you have ever thought would make you happy, will start flowing, seemingly effortlessly, into your experience.

Continuum S.1 Ep.4: Two Women Kick One Tough Guy's ASS!

Netflix
Netflix (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
Continuum is a SyFy miniseries available now on Netflix.

Unfortunately, I could not find this particular FIGHT SCENE to embed
the video for you, but it is well worth your time to watch it via the series.

The choreography is awesome. The women are awesome. And it's a reminder
that it doesn't take a man's strength to do damage with a crow-bar (or to pull a
trigger, for that matter).
