Vampire Movie Reviews: Vampire Diary, 2007

Vampire Diary

Vampire Diary (the movie), 2007

LOOOOVED IT!!! If you enjoy LESBIAN VAMPIRE MOVIES, you’ll really appreciate this one. I’m usually not a big fan of the “Blair Witch Hunt/Video Tape” category, but this one actually pulls it off. The script is FRESH and NEW… in a genre that’s old and tired. I was very impressed. For a low budget vampire flick, it really gave me a good two hours (or so) of rich entertainment. It does not disappoint. Go for it. It’s definitely worth your time.

 Netflix Description:
"Trolling London's Goth clubs to chronicle a subculture of wannabe vampires, filmmaker Holly meets and falls for smoldering lesbian Vicki, a real vampire. Despite Holly's suspicions about her new love, she can't resist Vicki's seductive netherworld."

A bit cliche but fun if you're a B-Film junkie like me. A few surprises here and there. I enjoyed it. You might too.

The Fugitive... oops, I mean The Hunted. Oh, is there a difference? One big long chase scene. The authentic hand to hand combat made it worthwhile, tho. And Benicio was breathtaking at times. Worth a see but... who likes dupes. Well, there was more blood in this and a different villain. Maybe that makes it okay.

This one’s a real HOOT. A total CLASSIC! Many good laugh out loud moments. If you enjoy this genre, you’ll have lots of fun. Hang in there past the cat sequences (to the headless doc parts) and you’ll be so glad you did. Absolutely HYSTERICAL. PS: Don’t miss the FULL ON NUDE SCENE…RARE. Is she a REAL blonde? Find out with the soft-porn ending (which also includes a few willies!). Lends new meaning to the phrase: “Giving Head”. LOLOLOL.

Movie Review: To.Get.Her, 2011

To.Get.Her
To.Get.Her
2011
Rating: 1Star

It’s pretty slow, yet still somewhat intriguing all the way to the halfway point. The intro keeps you wondering when, who, how.

Okay, now it’s three-quarters of the way through AND…I just don’t care anymore. But I’m hanging in there because of all the 5-Star (“there’s twist after twist”) reviews.

And finally: THAT’S JUST STUPID. I HATED IT. It was dark and dismal and I feel like I just wasted two hours of my life (even though I, myself, am an incest survivor). This is not the answer.

My recommendation? Don’t waste your time. If it were a book, it would be on Oprah’s Book Club List. P.O.S.

Be forewarned, it's a TRAGEDY not a Murder Thriller.
